Brixton Pound

As a local resident the Brixton pound has intrigued me...but to be honest don't especially know how it works or what benefits it brings to the local community. Maybe i need to read into it more. Anywho its been redesigned with 4 notable people who are from the brixton area on the notes. Its well cool.

David Bowie (as Ziggy Stardust) features on the B£10 note; Chicago Bulls basketball player, Luol Deng, on the B£5; and WWII spy, Violette Szabo, on the B£20. Len Garrison, the co-founder of the Black Cultural Archives appears on the B£1 note.

Chicago Bulls player??? who knew.

Riding on the back are images from the skate park and also the Aytoun graffiti wall, and other such arty delights. Great bit of design work by a local brixtonian agency

Good effort

the tragic oil spill in New Zealend, has left many animals covered. While waiting to be cleaned a group of people have been donating jumpers to cover the birds so they can't injest the oil while cleaning themselves...what dapper little animals

Colin O’Brien

Back in the dizzle Colin O’Brien lived in a flat that overlooked Clerkenwell Rd and Faringdon Rd. And once in a while he would witness a car crash, grab his camera and snap away. The results are an interesting aray of various scenes and scenarios

Don McCullin

Last week i visited the new Don McCullin exhibition at the Imperial War Museum. It was amazing!!! I'm an avid fan as it is, and truly believe he is one of our most important photojournalists of our days. I was blown away at seeing his beautiful hand printed prints up close. it never fails to entice me.

Anett Holmvik

I'm a sucker for a Persian cat...in my fantasies I'd have a Persian, a pug a boston terrier and a french bulldog. Until this dream becomes reality I'll enjoy looking at them through the means of photography. Beyond the cat Holmvick is a nice peaceful photographer.
